Artist : Paradise Lost
Country : UK
Release : Faith Divides Us - Death Unites Us [Limited Edition]
Year : 2009
Genre : Heavy Metal
File Type : mp3 320

Info:

This album has it all. Its heavier and harder than Draconian Times, more consistent than Icon and has the moody, doomy sound of Shades of God, but technical and mature in style. The songs are so well-crafted, with hooks, turns, exciting changes and Greg's guitar work is beautiful and dark- straight out of the early to mid 90's. Nick's vocals are all here, to the almost harsh ones, to the hard and rough kind, to the deep gothic to calm and tuneful. After all these years I didn't think they could write a song like Frailty, with so much fresh energy and respect to their metal roots.
Faith Divides Us - Death Unites Us is a powerful and fleshed out record, and has become my new Number 1 album for the year. Fans up to Draconian Times- don't let this pass you by, this record is the real deal. Heavy stuff for sure.

Artist : Sacrilege
Country : UK
Release : The Demo Tapes
Year : 2006
Genre : Heavy Metal
File Type : mp3 320

Info:

An 80's act from the UK, Sacrilege was founded in 1984 and led by vocalist Tam Simpson (female vocalists in metal were pretty rare at the time). Their first two albums are more in the raw death/thrash realm, but by the time of their third album (with the interesting title Turn Back Trilobite), they'd progressed quite a bit. Trilobite is a bit of an oddity, especially for the time, basically a slow, doomy album with some almost progressive moments and some nods to their thrash heritage, combined with Simpson's vocals, which were also atypical for a doom band. Their somewhat unorthodox style, combined with a low profile on the live front, eventually relegated them to the ranks of the lesser-knowns, which is unfortunate since they did have something good going.

Band :         Accept
Country :       Germany
Release :     Accept [Remastered]
Year :           1979
Genre :       Heavy Metal
File Info :     mp3 320

Info:

"Lady Lou" is a solid entry track with some Van Halen swagger, and a reigned in performance from the fucking madman Udo Dirkschneider, one of the finest human beings to ever breathe air. "Tired of Me" is a scorcher with some explosive melodies and dirty ass blues edge. The ballad "Seawinds" is perhaps the album's most beloved track, a beautiful, elegaic performance. But in my opinion the best tracks on the album are the screaming, intense "Sounds of War" and the ballsy blues metal of "Hell Driver", despite the goofy lyrics.

Band : Accept
Country : Germany
Release : Live In Japan
Year : 1992
Genre : Heavy Metal
File Info : mp3 320

Info:

Kaizoku-Ban is a live mini album or EP by Accept. It was recorded in Nagoya, Japan September 19, 1985, and released on vinyl the same year. It was later re-released as Live in Japan in 1992. Though this is an official release, the title translates as "Pirate Edition". The cassette tape version of this release had the unique feature of having all six songs recorded on both sides. Because of the duration of the six songs it was feasible to release it this way.

Band : Accept
Country : Germany
Release : Hungry Years (Digital Remix)
Year : 1987
Genre : Heavy Metal
File Info : mp3 320

Info:

Hungry Years album by Accept was released Jan 01, 2003 on the Universal Distribution label. Originally released in the mid-'80s, Hungry Years has been reissued, re-released, and remastered many times in many countries. The most common American version perhaps being the 1995 Castle issue. Short and to the point, Hungry Years includes some of the best selections from Accept's early catalog, including I'm a Rebel, Breaker, and the metal classic Restless and Wild. Rightfully, nothing is selected from the group's woeful eponymous 1979 debut. All three songs culled from Restless and Wild -- including the title track, "Princess of the Dawn," and "Fast as a Shark" -- are career highlights for Accept, not just the early era covered on Hungry Years. The tracks taken from the other two albums are among the best each have to offer, but any fans interested in the undeveloped sound of "The King" and "Midnight Highway" would probably want to seek out the releases these songs first appeared on.

Band :         Accept
Country :       Germany
Release :     Russian Roulette [Remastered]
Year :           1986
Genre :       Heavy Metal
File Info :     mp3 320

Info:

RUSSIAN ROULETTE has a more commercial feel than its predecessors, perhaps aiming at the pop metal audience that had previously embraced bands like Motley Crue. While the album has its share of highlights ("Heaven Is Hell," "Stand Tight"), the change in direction would prove detrimental; longtime singer Udo Dirkschneider split shortly thereafter to form his own band, UDO, while Accept soldiered on with substitute singers.

Kaizoku-Ban: Live In Japan songs But for a far better picture of Accept's concert stamina (with superior production values), go with the full-length Staying a Life, also recorded in Japan in 1985. ~ Andy Hinds. Artist : Accept
Country : Germany
Release : Eat The Heat [Japan Edition]
Year : 1989
Genre : Heavy Metal
File Type : mp3 320

Info:

Despite the departure of Udo Dirkschneider and his successor, the unknown David Reece, Accept turned in a solid performance on Eat The Heat. Although this album is definitely more commercial than any of its predecessors, tracks such as "Hellhammer," "X-T-C," and "Prisoner" still have that signature Hoffmann guitarwork and Accept "bite." Yes, Accept was more than merely Udo - steadfasts Peter, Wolf, and Steffan were all present for this recording. If you call yourself an Accept fan and don't own this album yet, I suggest acquiring it while you still can. Reece's vocals are obviously different from Dirkschneider's, but while listening to it I don't confuse it with another band other than Accept. And for all you die-hard Udo fans, you can hear his vocals in the background of "Turn The Wheel Around."

Band :         Accept
Country :       Germany
Release :     Balls To The Wall [Remastered]
Year :           1983
Genre :       Heavy Metal
File Info :     mp3 320

Info:

Balls to the Wall is the fifth album by the German metal band Accept. European label Lark Records released the album in December 1983, but its US release was delayed until a month later as to not compete with the band's then-current album Restless and Wild, which had arrived in the US in early 1983, and is Accept's only record to attain Gold certification in America. The album's lead single, "Balls to the Wall", became Accept's signature tune and remains a metal anthem and trademark in the genre.

Artist : Original Soundtrack
Country : USA
Release : Rocky IV [Remastered]
Year : 1985
Genre : Hard Rock
File Type : mp3 320

Info:

This album just rocks from start to finish. A total 80's masterpiece of rock, synth and drama - my only regret is that it took me 18 years to actually by it. Doh!!
There is hardly a bad song on the album, which makes for a really enjoyable listening experience from start to finish. I really loved the instrumentals by Vince Di Cola 'War' and 'Training Montage' - sheer brilliance.

Artist : Warfare
Country : UK
Release : Metal Anarchy: The Best Of Warfare
Year : 2002
Genre : Heavy Metal
File Type : mp3 320

Info:

About time Warfare had a compilation, thanks to Sanctuary Records. This compilation mainly features tracks from the first four albums that were originally realased by Neat Records "Pure Filth" 84, "Metal Anarchy" 85, "Mayhem xxxxxxx Mayhem" 86, and "Conflict of Hatred" 87, although there are some rare tracks such as a full rocked out version of Robert Palmer's Addicted To Love, plus an excellent live version of "Blown To Bits". the cd also comes nicely packaged with inner sleeve notes from main man Drummer/vocalist Evo. plus there is a good collection of pictures, and reviews etc... a highly recommended buy for anyone who enjoys quality punk metal from one of NWOBHM's best bands. Alternative metal for metal alternatives.

Artist : Skanners
Country : Italy
Release : The Serial Healer
Year : 2008
Genre : Heavy Metal
File Type : mp3 320

Info:

Loyal Halfordians should especially appreciate 'The Serial Healer.' Pisoni's tones, screams, and delivery are not only undeniably inspired by Halford, but make him sound like he could have been Halford's long lost twin. You really have to remind yourself more times than not that this is not Rob at the mic. It's almost eerie.

Artist : DragonForce
Country : UK
Release : Sonic Firestorm [Japan Edition]
Year : 2004
Genre : Heavy Metal
File Type : mp3 320

Info:

This album is unbelievably fast, complex, melodic speed metal. Where were these guys when I was a teenager wishing for music where the guitar solos lasted more than 10 seconds! DF gives us minutes-long solos, but it's not just amazing guitar work. Every member of the band is extraordinary. Just listen to the rhythm section as they blast along just as fast.
