AOR by numbers yes, but not in a negative way - these are some great songs.New Religion is the band's best sounding album yet. It betters the first two in sound, production and song quality.

The sound is tighter, more guitar driven and certainly more polished.This album features less pomp than the last two, with a more straight ahead melodic rock sound in place. Guitars have more prominence and the use of acoustic guitars in a few tracks seems to suit the band.
