When the first guitar chords on Ancara's new album toned out of the speakers, it gave me a Amorphis Kalevala feeling and that is maybe a little Finnish sound gene that the Finns have in their black rock blood.
This is Ancara's third album and is produced by Hiili Hiilesmaa (HiM, 69 Eyes, Lordi). It's a solid rock throughout the album and it's a easy listening, perhaps I should say with a radio friendly touch on the album. Some of the tracks are very close to pop, but with strong guitars it stays in the light rock/pop section.
