Knut Erik Østgård is best known as the lead singer of Return, rock band that devastated Norway over several decades. When the band's comeback tour ended in 2009, he started work on his first solo release - and the result was Talas. The music consists of pop and rock that occasionally reminiscent of Return, which Østgård sing the Norwegian lyrics on his own strange dialect. The album was recorded at Space Valley Studio Hedemarken, with Henning Ramseth as co-producer.
