The bulk of this album is instrumental, and Akira takes on all duties (guitar, bass, drums, vocals) which, in my book, is what constitutes a real "solo" album.
I usually enjoy his guitar work: he's creative, versatile, and handles both the heavier and softer genres. But this album generally bored me; there are, of course, some good moments. In this case, I preferred the softer tracks, which avoid the "drowned" sound of the (poor) drumming and the absence of (dull) vocals.
