Breakdown in Paradise is unlike any other Chilliwack album, which is not surprising for a chameleon-like band that produced 11 studio albums and never played the same style for more than two albums in a row. It rocks much harder than the pop albums Chilliwack is best know for (Riding High; Dreams, Dreams Dreams; Lights in the Valley) and is more complex and sophisticated than the band's garage band-like efforts (Rockerbox; All Over You).
