Remember the good ol' glory days when Slayer was the baddest thrash/speed metal band in the world? When we'd get kick ass speed metal riffs with ear-splitting schreeching Kerry King solos, and Araya's voice hadn't become annoying yet? Well, that's what you get with Suicidal Angel's true debut album. Instead of Araya's vocals that even get on every metal fan's nerves, we get a vocal style somewhere cross between Kreator and Sodom. And the best part about it, is that it works. Had Araya sung more like this, Slayer wouldn't have lost a lot of its appeal, with me at least.
