Artist : Uriah Heep
Country : UK
Release : Wonderworld [Deluxe Edition]
Year : 1974
Genre : Hard Rock
File Type : mp3 320

Info:

The first thing you'll notice about Wonderworld is the improved sound quality. While it's not one of their best albums overall (the first side of the album is great), there are a number of excellent tunes here. "Suicidal Man" features a menacing riff throughout it, and "The Shadows and the Wind" is the perfect example of the band's intricate 5-part harmonies. The bonus tracks are the other highlight here. Along with a B-side ("What Can I Do"), the disc includes a previously unreleased version of "Dreams" and great live renditions of "Something or Nothing" and one of the band's best ballads, "The Easy Road."

Artist : Uriah Heep
Country : UK
Release : Wake The Sleeper
Year : 2008
Genre : Hard Rock
File Type : mp3 320

Info:

2008 release, Uriah Heep's first studio album in almost 10 years. Wake The Sleeper is set to herald an exciting new phase for the band, taking their classic sound right into the future. The album see's Uriah Heep back to their very best and is set to become a future classic: sure to please their dedicated worldwide fan base and fans of Progressive Rock in general. Recorded in 2007 the album was produced by Mike Paxman (Status Quo, Judie Tzuke). This is the band's first album without their long-standing and original drummer, Lee Kerslake who sadly had to leave the band due to ill health in January 2007. Filling the drum stool for the very first time is the hugely well respected Russell Gilbrook. The current band also features Mick Box, Trevor Bolder, Phil Lanzon and Bernie Shaw.

Artist : Uriah Heep
Country : UK
Release : The Magician's Birthday [Deluxe Edition]
Year : 1972
Genre : Hard Rock
File Type : mp3 320

Info:

The follow-up album to "Demons and Wizards", recorded in the same year, and while still touring constantly (a grueling pace that was to lead to problems down the road for many of the members), this album maintains the quality of its legendary predecessor.
"Rain" is a beautiful ballad, delivered perfectly and subtly by the now sadly overlooked David Byron, one of the greatest singers in rock history (all of Byron's works should be required listening for modern vocalists, he was a master of dynamics, an art that has been sadly lost in recent years).

Artist : Uriah Heep
Country : UK
Release : Sweet Freedom [Deluxe Edition]
Year : 1973
Genre : Hard Rock
File Type : mp3 320

Info:

Formed in 1969 Uriah Heep rode the wave of Hard/Progressive Rock that swept over the music world in the beginning of the Seventies, changing the face of popular music for ever. Uriah Heep never managed to make the final leap to the premier league of rock music during this era, unlike their peers Deep Purple; Black Sabbath; Led Zeppelin; the Rolling Stones; Genesis; Pink Floyd; etc., but every year they would make the play off's in Division One. No matter how much the lineup changed, they always kept a large, ever loyal, following.

Artist : Uriah Heep
Country : UK
Release : Return To Fantasy [Deluxe Edition]
Year : 1975
Genre : Hard Rock
File Type : mp3 320

Info:

"Return To Fantasy", the first album of the Wetton era, is a crisp return to form. While not quite living up to the lofty standards of the 1970-73 recordings, as the band still seemed to be in the process of deciding what musical direction they wanted to take the new lineup, resulting in a less cohesive overall sound, the material and performances still shine nonetheless.

Artist : Uriah Heep
Country : UK
Release : Look At Yourself [Deluxe Edition]
Year : 1971
Genre : Hard Rock
File Type : mp3 320

Info:

Look At Yourself (1971.), Uriah Heep's third studio album. Uriah Heep, in the early 1970's were very much the band which everyone but the fans of the band themselves, loved to hate. They got loads of stick from critics often calling the heavy rock band the 'Poor Man's Deep Purple'. However, in my opinion, these are particularly unfair criticisms on a band who have produced some excellent music during their career and 'Look at Yourself', Uriah Heep's third studio album, released in 1971 stands as one of their finest and most accomplished efforts.

Artist : Uriah Heep
Country : UK
Release : Innocent Victim [Deluxe Edition]
Year : 1977
Genre : Hard Rock
File Type : mp3 320

Info:

Innocent Victim was the followup to Firefly and the 2nd of 3 John Lawton era albums.
This album takes a more commercial approach than Firefly. One can't deny the success of such of move as this era of Uriah Heep was the biggest in many non - English speaking countries. This album had a more guitar oriented rock sound than Firefly.
Despite the commercial direction of this album, there is still a couple of gems traditional Heep fans will enjoy (Illusion/Masqueraide, The Dance, The River, Free 'n" Easy)

Artist : Uriah Heep
Country : UK
Release : High And Mighty [Deluxe Edition]
Year :  1976

Genre : Hard Rock
File Type : mp3 320

Info:

This is the second heep album to feature john wetton. in fact, he takes the lead vocal on the first track 'one way or another.' this fast song is reminiscent of wetton-era king crimson. it's great and correctly placed because the music to follow is so unlike it. from the searing Box guitar on 'weep in silence' on through the hensley counterattack of 'can't keep a good band down,' this 1976 release is byron's last with the band. the production is crisp and clear, the arrangements, for the most part, are understated and the overall mood is one of reflection and world-weariness. byron is all over this record, yet his histrionics are nowhere evident.

Artist : Uriah Heep
Country : UK
Release : Demons And Wizards [Deluxe Edition]
Year : 1972
Genre : Hard Rock
File Type : mp3 320

Info:

After finding their musical stride with 1971's Look at Yourself, Uriah Heep followed up a year later with this, their first foray into the lyrical realm of dungeons, dragons, and whatnot. David Byron's intermittent falsetto is in full effect by the time the chorus comes thundering in on heavy hits such as "Easy Living" and "Traveler in Time." But the 'ard 'n' 'eavy Brit rockers also had their sensitive side, as evidenced by the more reflective Ken Hensley-penned tracks like "Circle of Hands" and "All My Life."

Year : 1989
Genre : Hard Rock
File Type : mp3 VBR

Info:

This is the first Uriah Heep disc to feature current Heep vocalist Bernie Shaw. Raging Silence still found the band in search of the increasingly elusive commercial success. Like Abominog, Raging Silence was essentially a Foreigner-style AOR album full of radio-friendly melodic rockers.

Artist : Uriah Heep
Country : UK
Release : Abominog [Deluxe Edition]
Year : 1982
Genre : Hard Rock
File Type : mp3 VBR

Info:

Several semi-respectable old style hard rocks bands rode the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal in the early 80's and believed that updating their sound to give it a more commercial edge might win them new found success. Uriah Heep are a prime example of this philosophy. These unabashed dinosaurs of 70's hard rock decided to go even further with their change in style and tread the syrupy waters of AOR on their 14th studio release, 'Abominog', with it's cover art that seemed purposely designed to appeal to Iron Maiden fans of the time.

TRACKLIST:

Artist : Uriah Heep
Country : UK
Release : Head First [Deluxe Edition]
Year : 1983
Genre : Hard Rock
File Type : mp3 VBR

Info:

"Head First" was Uriah Heep's 15th studio album and it was released in May 1983. This is the 2nd album album that featured the critically acclaimed line-up: Peter Goalby; Mick Box; Bob Daisley; John Sinclair; Lee Kerslake. The band one more chance to get back on top. "Abominog" was highly successful, charting in many countries, and it was praised by the critical press. The band's style had been recaptured and recovered, and it seemed like there was no way back now. With "Abominog", the traditional fans finally had something to cheer for, and the constant failure of the band's previous albums seemed to had been forgotten. "Head First" was produced by Ashley Howe and he tried to rebuild the style and the success that was found in "Abominog". This album, then, is the natural successor to "Abominog". So it would have just as good as the band's previous album. Or even better, actually. Well, it's not.
