Artist : Black Sabbath Country : UK Release : The Best Of Black Sabbath Year : 2000 Genre : Hard Rock Heavy Metal File Type : mp3 320 Info:
Formed in Birmingham in the late 1960s, Black Sabbath would rapidly
ascend to become towering figures of the music they helped to invent:
heavy metal. Blending powerful guitar riffs with a heavy rhythm section
and lyrical themes of the occult, drugs and all things dark, Black
Sabbath broke through in 1970 with their self-titled debut album and its
hit single, "Paranoid". They then rode the crest of the wave of British
metal that rose up in the 1970s, recording one classic track after
another ("War Pigs", "Sweet Leaf", "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath") until lead
singer Ozzy Osbournedeparted for a solo success in 1979. Throughout the
1980s and 1990s,their line-up went through numerous changes, to include
at various points Deep Purple's Ian Gillan and Ronnie James Dio. The
Best Of Black Sabbath is their most comprehensive greatest hits
compilation to date. This 32-track, 2-CD set gathers all of the
best-known songs from early Sabbath's now-classic line-up, while still
finding space for a few live tracks and some later, post-Ozzy recordings
("Heaven And Hell", "Turn Up The Night" and "The Dark/Zero The
Hero").The Best Of Black Sabbath is an essential introduction to some of
the finest works of these rock pioneers.

Artist : Dame Fortune Country : USA Release : The Secret Art Year : 2009 Genre : Hard Rock File Type : mp3 192 Info: Los Angeles-based cult rockers Dame Fortune have returned with their third album, ‘The Secret Art’.
The
band, made up of guitarist and vocalist David Blake, bassist and
vocalist Jeff Wire, guitarist and vocalist Mike James and drummer and
vocalist John Merritt, have taken their unique brand of “classic hard
rock with a modern gothic edge” to a new level. If you miss the days
when Zep and Aerosmith were gods, and find big hooks, sneering rock and
roll attitude and slamming power chords practically orgasmic, then you
will love this album!
Despite song titles such as ‘A Special Place’
suggesting this may be an emotional album, there is not a trace of a
ballad on ‘The Secret Art’: this is dirty, sleazy, good old-fashioned
rock n’ roll - any emotional aspects are well disguised by heavy guitars
and a thundering rhythm section! Standout tracks are the impossibly
catchy ‘Perpetual Emotion Machine’, sleazy ‘Santa Ana Blues’ and arena
rock anthem ‘Hikikomori (Live As Though The Day Were Here)’. Special
mention should also be made of the outstanding vocal performance on
‘Secret Rulers’.

Artist : Zandelle Country : USA Release : Shadows Of The Past Year : 2011 Genre : Heavy Metal File Type : mp3 320 Info:
Now for 15 years ZANDELLE from New York City play melodic Power Metal
with striking high-pitched-vocals, decent keyboard-influences and many
double bass-parts, which unites the European and the US-American sound
harmonically. They were founded by singer George Tsalikis, after he left
his predecessor-band Gothic Knights.
Already the most actual
studio-album „Flames Of Rage“ was released through Pure Steel Records in
2009, with „Shadows Of The Past“ now there is a compilation, which has
got four songs of the first, self-titled EP from 1996 and six songs of
the 1998 released debut-album „Shadows Of Reality“, which are nearly
impossible to get today. All of them are re-recorded. In addition to
that with “Unleashed” (originally recorded for the in 2006 released
“Vengeance Rising”-album, but never released before), “Scream My Name”
(a brand new song) and the Whitesnake-cover “Bad Boys”, there are three
bonus tracks on it. The second CD contains all tracks in the original
versions from 1996 and 1998. In relation to newer outputs, which got a
more European touch, on their first two outputs ZANDELLE sounded more
US-American and also the keyboard-parts were more in the background. The
production had a dryer sound than nowadays, but this wasn’t even
changed really with the re-recordings.
A very interesting
time-document, which proves, that also in the second half of the 90s
there have been some bands, which played flawless, true Heavy Metal!

Artist : Kreator Country : Germany Release : Extreme Aggression Year : 1989 Genre : Heavy Metal File Type : mp3 320 Info:
The album title definately says it all. Kreator's 1989 release
"Extreme Aggression" is super fast, super heavy, and of course super
aggressive. I got this album over the weekend, and I really like it
alot, it's so awesome. This is without a doubt one of Kreator's best
albums ever, and it's already one of my favorite Kreator albums as well.
This album truly has it all: Aggressive vocals, killer guitar riffs,
awesome solos, lightning fast drums, what more could you ask for. Mille
Petrozza's vocals are super aggressive and extremely awesome. Together
he and Jorg Trzebiatowski deliver lots of great riffs and killer solos
throughout. Rob Fioretti has got some really cool bass lines that are
well heard, and Jurgen "Ventor" Reil's double bass drumming is lightning
fast and will make your heart pound with sheer excitement.
