Info:

If the name Vanderhoof does remind you of Metal Church’s guitarist Kurdt Vanderhoof, you hit the nail right on the head. After a total of 5 albums and dozens of tours, Metal Church broke up in 1993, but returned to the public eye towards the end of the 90s. A temporary venture by the ambitioned guitar slinger was called Hall Aflame, followed by tours with ZZ Top and Blue Oyster Cult. Determined to do his own thing in the future, he disbanded Hall Aflame to form Vanderhoof (in 1997), together with Metal Church drummer Kirk Arrington. Vanderhoof’s debut album emerged two years ago and was followed by a successful European tour opening for Savatage. At the end of July 2002, the follow-up album “A Blur In Time” was released. Don’t expect heavy metal from this quintet, but timeless melodic rock music, influenced by classic bands like Deep Purple and Uriah Heep.
