M.A.D. (Maniacal Area Damage) – that is hard rock at it’s best, goes
directly under your skin and makes you shout for more. “Pure
entertainment, cool outfits, congenial musicians and a permanent contact
with the audience” 1) make their concerts an unforgettable experience.
“Guitar sounds sharp like a knife edge” 2) and rough, hard lead vocals
“that bear comparison with the former AC/DC front man Bon Scott” 3) give
their songs a “clear handwriting” 4). “It can’t be overseen, that
M.A.D. is creating an own unmistakable style” 4) wrote the newspaper
“Donaukurier”.
With this style, a mix of classical Hardrock and
Heavy Metal (you could call it “True Rock’n Roll”) they could convince
the audience as support for big names (f.e. Saxon, Edguy, Bonfire,
Shakra, Paul Gilbert, Eric Sardinas)as well as act on bigger events
(Rock For Asia, Mexico Open Air) or biker parties.

For fans of Head East, this is a must. If you like 70's classic rock,
this should do the trick. Very talented band from southern Illinois who
write and play very good music. Honestly this sounds better now than
when I was a teen. This album is way too good to have never been
released on CD! The music is close to many of their contemporaries, but
Head East has their own sound. I saw them live in November, '79 (pretty
sure it was the 7th), in Springfield, MO and they rocked the house!
Opening act Morning Star were great, too. Another time and place, but
the music was so good!

done by the Bass player! Man has he got some high range and the power to

Artist : Huey Lewis And The News Country : USA Release : Picture This Year : 1982 Genre : Rock File Type : mp3 320 Info:
Huey Lewis and the News' sophomore album, the self-produced Picture
This (1982) was a warmup for the colossal explosion that would become
Sports. While not as polished as Sports, Picture This does feature
HL&N's trademark 80's rock fused with soul and doowop stylings, not
to mention their appealing falsetto harmony vocals and some downright
fiery guitar from lead guitarist Chris Hayes, and snappy percussion from
drummer Bill Gibson. But the synergistic teamwork ensured that Huey
Lewis didn't steal the spotlight just because he was lead singer. In
examining the people consisting the groups, I note how they play an
instrument and do vocals.

When Diesel Dahl was fired from TNT and formed his own band Tin Drum
with bassist Sid Ringsby (who later played with TNT in 2005 and
currently with Jorn Lande), guitarist Trond Ojen (Evenrude) and female
vocalist Tove.
Tove was later replaced by Dag Ingebrigtsen on the
following "How ´bout this" album in 1989, Dag wrote half of Tin Drum´s
"Drums of war" and felt like the natural replacement but it was Tove who
had the perfect high pitch voice for this TNT-sounding AOR/hard rock.
As
you might remember, Dag Ingebrigtsen was the founding singer in TNT on
their debut album in 1982 so Diesel and him have been close friends for a
long time.

Artist : Q5 Country : USA Release : Steel The Light [Remastered] Year : 1984 Genre : Heavy Metal File Type : mp3 320 Info:
Steel The Light was the debut record from Seattle's Q5. Released in
the late summer of 1984, Q5 brought the popular sounds of "New Wave Of
British Heavy Metal" to the northwest coast of America. With members of
another Seattle legend, TKO, Evan Sheley, Floyd Rose, Jonathan K., Rick
Pierce, and Gary Thompson set out to record the Steel The Light 7-track
demo at the end of 1983.
Q5 - Steel the Light
Albatross
Productions found out about the superb quality of songwriting and twin
guitar melody of the demo, and sent the band into the studio to record
the full length LP we know as Steel The Light. The record was released
on Albatross with different packaging, showing a sort of "sci-fi" feel
to the record, highlighting the cover in a disgusting green color. Music
For Nations picked the band up for the European release, giving it a
much more attractive "Space Ship" cover.
