Artist : Zed Yago Country : Germany Release : Pilgrimage Year : 1989 Genre : Heavy Metal File Type : mp3 320 Info: This is an incredible album. From start to finish Pilgrimage
rips with elegant power and metal might. The compositions are
carefully crafted with lots of texture. Dual guitars blaze away as the
hard-hitting drummer plays like a caveman beating a rock with a
mammoth’s tusk. Jutta rules the roost with her dramatic lyrical and
vocal majesty. All the tracks pretty much rule, but the cuts The Pale
Man, The Fear Of Death, and Black Bone Song reach epic levels of
awesome. Put on your puffy shirt, hoist the mainsales, and ROCK!

Artist : Disdain Country : Sweden Release : Leave This World Year : 2010 Genre : Heavy Metal File Type : mp3 320 Info:
DISDAIN proved to the Metal world that the reins of ‘true’ Metal
shifted from US/Britain to Sweden. Over the years, as the USA became
modernized with Hardcore and Britain, which since the glorious NWOBHM
and a minor Thrash front didn't show much, Sweden took over and became
one of Metal's premier six-pounders. After the great success of the
Gothenburg's melodic Death Metal outbreak of the early 90’s, the
80’s-influenced Heavy Metal made its comeback through rising bands as
DREAM EVIL, HAMMERFALL, EVERGREY and the newcomer ENFORCER. Once again,
after being taking a rather extreme form, the Swedish scene became
balanced in a way. There is Heavy Metal for everyone.
So, what is so
special about DISDAIN and their new album “Leave This World”? Maybe it
is because that they were able to use a melodic form of Metal, which
rather sounds as Heavy Metal mixed with melodic Death Metal, and come up
with hitters? Maybe it is because they have a mounting talented
vocalist, which once was the band’s drummer and presents a wild mix of
Cans and Dickinson? Or it is just fact that they have the capability to
deliver overall great Heavy Metal merchandise, even if it sounds modern.
Generally, all the answers are right in this case.
