Info:

Eleven cuts of decidedly old school Heavy Metal is the name of the game here on the band's debut, and if I had to draw immediate comparison to any band it would be Sweden?s STEELWING. COLOSSUS? brand of IRON MAIDEN style Metal definitely reminds a lot of the current crop of Swedish acts playing like it is the mid eighties. I also get a slight of SLOUGH FEG in some of the band?s melodies and riffs which is certainly a bonus.
The production is solid and definitely has a certain eighties feel to it, and the performances are largely stellar throughout. The vocals again remind me of STEELWING, and the singer is clearly competent, the guitars ring out as the best aspect of ''...And the Rift of the Pan-Dimensional Undergods'' and the riffs are all worthy of busting out the air guitar. I particularly like the album opener ''Limit-Break'' which just has to be about Final Fantasy VII, and that is definitely something I approve of. Final Fantasy + Metal is one hell of a fun equation.
