"Imperial Age is a Russian Symphonic Metal concept project that is the brainchild of Alexander “Aor” Osipov. He is the only official member even from the writing and producing aspects. The other roles are filled by session musicians along with a full orchestra and singers from the Moscow State Conservatory.
Musically this album is nothing short of staggeringly good. I can’t think of anything I have heard on this scale, it even beats Nightwish and Avantasia in terms of epicness. This is a metal opera in every sense of the word and delivers one of the richest musical listens I have come across.
