This is, without question, the best hard rock album to be released in the last 20 years. Even longtime fans of Paul Gilbert will be astonished at the ferocity of the playing, the level of songwriting, the production values, and the huge soundstage Racer X achieved on this album. Their first "reunion" album, "Technical Difficulties," was just a warm-up for this one.

One of the most influential formations which emerged in the beginnings of the NWOBHM madness was TANK — a fierce, ambitious young band, taking all that was the best in punk and metal to a higher level. The group was formed in Croydon (London, England) in 1980 by Alasdair "Algy" Mackie Ward, an experienced front man who wanted to go beyond his previous musical experiences, which included playing in THE SAINTS and THE DAMNED. Metal Mind Productions released the complete discography of TANK: "The Filth Hounds of Hades - Dogs of War 1981 - 2002". The collection, containing TANK's full discography extended with exclusive bonus material, is available in two editions: as a nine-CD box (8CD+DVD) and a six-LP box.

Insomnium - Since The Day It All Came Down (2004)

Artist : Insomnium
Country : Finland
Release : Since The Day It All Came Down
Year : 2004
Genre : Heavy Metal
File Type : mp3 320

Info:

In this album, Insomnium have quite simply proved themselves to be the best Melodic Death Metal band out of Finland. This album will put your darkest emotions in a chokehold and will not let go. This is beautiful music for any lover of melodic Heavy Metal. Anyone who likes dark melodies should really enjoy this CD. There is not a bad song on it. Additionally, it's very different from most Melodic Death Metal. For those familiar with melodic Heavy Metal, fans of Opeth, Dark Tranquillity, Sentenced, or Rapture will like this band. I think this is one of the most underrated bands, and every Heavy Metal fan should give this a listen.

Insomnium - In The Halls Of Awaiting (2002)

Artist : Insomnium
Country : Finland
Release : In The Halls Of Awaiting
Year : 2002
Genre : Heavy Metal
File Type : mp3 320

Info:

Melodic death metal doesn't get much better than this. The sheer passion and intensity infused into the music and lyrics of Insomnium are what take them far beyond your typical angst-ridden "Cookie Monster vocal" band, and into...well, The Halls of Awaiting.
Every song on the CD is a work of art unto itself, and most appreciative death metal fans will be able to see the many subtle differences between them. The vocal style doesn't change much, and the overwhelmingly serious, despairing lyrics (which borrow more from doom metal than anything else) are growled out not with anger or malice, but with sorrow. The entire album is a moving expression of raw pain, a dark work of art on a rough musical canvas. Suffice it to say, "In the Halls of Awaiting" must be heard to be believed.

Artist :       Accuser
Country :     Germany
Release :     Dependent Domination
Year :           2011
Genre :       Heavy Metal
File Type :   mp3 320

Info:

I love this album. It has killer riffs, production, and guitar tone. It doesn't sound like it's trying to be in the 80's and it's still innovative. "Desolate Shape" has an awesome triplet rhythm riff with different notes. Normally, I would think that a triplet riff is unoriginal and kinda generic but they made it innovative. Anyone who loves thrash music should get this album.

Dawn Of Silence - Wicked Saint Or Righteous Sinner (2010)

Artist : Dawn Of Silence
Country : Sweden
Release : Wicked Saint Or Righteous Sinner
Year : 2010
Genre : Heavy Metal
File Type : mp3 320

Info:

Wicked Saint Of Righteous Sinner consists of some winning “classics to be” as “In Quest For Life” (great dual channeled vocals), “Crucifire” (no mercy on the heaviness), “Haunted Dreams” and “Masquerade” (total amazement). Those tracks mark the band as a strong modern heavy metal team, yet they are also exemplifying them as an 80’s-oriented group with an aim to bring the rather catchy side of metal to the side of ample melodic personality. Behind those true hits, you may experience the other tunes that Dawn Of Silence had to give, the choice is in your hands to feel them.
