Tommy Heart (vocals) and Chris Lyne (guitar) are back with a brand new studio album after putting out a live CD, aptly titled “That’s Live”, last year.
Upon hearing opening cut “First Man On The Moon” one would think that the gentlemen have simply picked up where their previous studio offering “Blood Runs Gold” (2007) left off because of the classic melodic rock (Led Zeppelin, Bad Company) tinged intro but that’s not exactly the case. No, as the title suggests, “Way Back To The Bone” offers us the band’s trade mark melodic rock complete with infectious choruses and driving guitar work. Every now and then they bring out the acoustic six string but less frequent then on “BRG” and overall this new platter is heavier.
