songwriter, best known as the boy soprano lead singer of the New York
City-based early rock and roll group, The Teenagers. The group was

two Puerto Rican members, Herman Santiago and Joe Negroni.

Info:
Its quite a sad tale, when it comes to the musical career of Pam & Paula Mattioli.
They
exploded onto the British rock scene in 1987 with the band Gypsy Queen,
with their self-titled Debut album, produced by Jack (John Lennon,
Aerosmith) Douglas (having been impressed by their demo tape).
They
soon became the poster girls for rock magazines such as "Metal Hammer"
& "Kerrang", but right from the start they tried prove themselves as
a serious act, not just eye-candy.
Unfortunately that's were the
twin's luck seemed to have run out. Their album was not critical well
received, with the music having quite a polished sound to it (which was
popular for rock acts in the 1980's). So Pam & Paula sacked &
replaced the entire band, & dispensed with Jack Douglas production
services.
Gypsy Queen mark 2 then tour extensively, which is when I
saw them perform, with a much harder sound, only playing one ("Radio")
of their old songs, the rest of the show consisting of completely new
material.
Then a new single was released "Take care of yourself" & a new album "Out of Control" was scheduled for release.
But it never materialised, with Jack Douglas & ex-band member suing the Mattioli sister for breach of contract.
So faster forward to 1993 with a new band & name "Cellmates" the album "Between two Fires" was released.

This album contains the LONG kick ass version of Twilight Zone (When
The Bullet Hits The Bone), which is, in my opinion, the greatest rock
song of all time. While this album is short, this song MAKES the album.
The Devil Made Me Do It, which is one of their most well-known songs, is
silly, but enjoyable. Baby Dynamite is enjoyable, but very slow and not
what one would call a rock song. The same with Future. Last Of The
Mohicans is a catchy lightweight rocker. Lost And Found and Chargin' Up
My Batteries are both great songs. Secrets is a slow, bluesy song. While
the album could be longer, and there ARE better GE albums out there
(Bloody Buccaneers!!), this is a classic and a good place to start with
this band.

produced under watch of Bill Wray, the Flame recording opens with the
brief "Razor Blade Road (Prelude)". The intro cut bleeds into the
building "Rain", which is accented by a hamonica fill, thus taking on an
Aero vibe, followed by the low slung "Electraglide". Drummer Dennis
Bostok powers the hard-boilded "Wild One" before Flame trip down power
ballad lane on "Don't Look Down".
The up-tempo, six-minute
"Wonderland" is carried by an infectious chorus, while the laid-back
"Shelter You" is a mellow, acoustic number. The boys get down to rockin'
on the stand-tall "Never Say Die". The accessible tandem of "Ball and
Chain" and "Blood for Blood" were laid out for AOR radio, while
"Desperate Heart" is the second slow song from the LP. The tight
"Automatic" packs street muscle. At nearly three-minutes, the sobering
"Razor Blade Road (Reprise)" extinguishes the Flame recording.
