Motorhead are a band that rarely disapoint. I may be in the minority
that thinks that Kiss of Death (2006) was awful but other than that,
even at their most mediocre Motorhead have been jolly good. In there now
35 years of rocking and rolling, Motorhead have released several stone
cold classic albums. The last of these being Inferno, in my view...
until now. The World is Yours might be the best Motorhead album in 15 or
20 years and there is some mighty competition in that time period
(1916, Bastards, Overnight Sensation, Inferno). It's ultimately
pointless trying to decide whether it tops those classic albums, it is
simply another great Motorhead album and, to me anyway, a legitimate
return to form. Returning to form is something Motorhead are accused of
every 4 to 5 years or so, whenever the media decide that it's time to
give them some credit again.

Artist : Motorhead Country : UK Release : Hammered Year : 2002 Genre : Heavy Metal File Type : mp3 320 Info:
Since 1975 Motörhead--spearheaded by the grungy, iconic British
metalhead Lemmy Kilmister--has been churning out speedy, macho, aggro
anthems, including "Ace of Spades," "Killed by Death," and "Eat the
Rich." The phrases "trendy" or "critical favorites" have never been
attached to the Grammy-nominated band, and Hammered isn't the record to
change Motörhead's antiestablishment standing. The 11-song outing (plus
two bonus tracks) will, however, satiate longtime fans. The power trio
rages--complete with piercing guitar solos and double-bass drums--on the
urgent and winning "Brave New World," and is only slightly more
mainstream on "Walk a Crooked Mile," which boasts melodic choruses and
backup vocals, and crunchy rhythms matched with Lemmy's trademark gruff,
guttural talk-singing. Lemmy's no sex symbol, and it's disquieting to
hear him sing somewhat romantic lyrics on "Dr. Love" and "Mine All
Mine." The songs like "No Remorse" and "Voices from the War" seem more
suited to the singer-bassist's brusque persona. In fact, Hammered's most
definitive Motörhead-esque cut is probably the bloody "Red Raw," which
will give all but the most practiced headbangers whiplash.

Artist : Motorhead Country : UK Release : Iron Fist [Deluxe Edition] Year : 1982 Genre : Heavy Metal File Type : mp3 320 Info:
Digitally remastered and expanded deluxe two CD edition of this 1982
album featuring a bonus disc of B-sides, alternate versions, outtakes
and more. Disc One features the Iron Fist album, which contains a
barrage of Motorclassics with production overseen by guitarist 'Fast'
Eddie Clarke and Will Reid Dick. Unfortunately the album also saw the
classic Motorhead line-up of 'Fast' Eddie (guitars), Ian 'Lemmy'
Kilmister (bass/vocals) and Phil (Philthy Animal) Taylor (drums)
splintering soon after. Iron Fist, nevertheless, is a twelve-fingered
mutation of an album with a clutch of gem-studded tracks like 'Heart of
Stone', 'Go to Hell', 'Loser', and of course the title track, all
reaching out to squeeze the living breath from all those who dare to hop
aboard the Motorhead express.

Artist : Motorhead Country : UK Release : Live At Brixton '87 Year : 1987 Genre : Heavy Metal File Type : mp3 320 Info:
With the return of original drummer, Phil "Philthy Animal" Taylor,
after a three year absence, Motorhead were back on the road promoting
their new studio album, 1987's Rock 'N' Roll. London's Brixton Academy
was the final show after months of touring around Europe and on December
23rd 1987, the band gave their loyal following an early Christmas
present with their anthem studded set. It's interesting to note that the
band wanted this set to be used as their second official live album,
however, a different show was eventually allocated for this honor for
what became the album, No Sleep At All. Combining classics from the
band's early days ("Stay Clean," "Metropolis" and of course, "Ace Of
Spades") with cuts from the band's then new album ("Dogs," "Traitors,"
and "Stone Deaf In The USA"), Live At Brixton delivers with time honored
ferocity. This re-mastered release adds five bonus tracks revealing,
for the first time, the show in its entirety.
