Artist :       Black Label Society
Country :     USA
Release :     Catacombs Of The Black Vatican [Japan Edition] & [Limited Edition]
Year :           2014
Genre :       Heavy Metal
File Type :   mp3 320

Info:

Catacombs of the Black Vatican will stand as an enduring testament to Black Label Society s sheer force of will and mastery of each and every musical neighborhood the hard rock titans choose to stomp through. The aggressive bite of the barnstorming BLS banger Damn the Flood sits comfortably right alongside the stripped down, emotionally searing Angel of Mercy, Scars and Shades of Gray. The album s opening tracks, Fields of Unforgiveness and lead single My Dying Time, drop the throttle into swampy, down-tempo menace that wouldn t sound out of place in a Classic Rock band s catalog nor at the creative height of the grunge era.
There s a beauty in caveman like simplicity, in the break-bottles-and-break-necks gusto of a loud power chord. To many listeners, Wylde invented pinch harmonics every bit as much as Chuck Berry s dreamt up the duck walk. When the Guitar Hero franchise was all the rage, Wylde was a playable character in the game.
Every time you re going to make a new record, it s exciting, he says of the run-up to the creation of Catacombs of the Black Vatican. When you re in the studio you can approach it like Salvador Dali where you ve got a blank canvas in front of you. You can paint a little bit, sit back and look at it and go, Oh man, let s add a little more red over here, let s make this darker over there. Because live? It s a free-for-all. People are bleeding. There s fire going on. You re getting attacked by grizzly bears...

Artist : Black Label Society
Country : USA
Release : Sonic Brew
Year : 1999
Genre : Heavy Metal
File Type : mp3 320

Info:

What can be said about Zakk Wylde that hasn't already been said? The man is the guitar god of his time, and can shred like no other modern day guitarist out there today. "Sonic Brew", Zakk's first release under his Black Label Society title, is a full throttle smash some beer bottles against the wall hard rock that fans of old Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, or early Pantera will no doubt dig.

Artist : Black Label Society
Country : USA
Release : 1919 Eternal
Year : 2002
Genre : Heavy Metal
File Type : mp3 320

Info:

One of Black Label Society's most straightforward metal albums (at least one in a trilogy of them, along with STRONGER THAN DEATH and THE BLESSED HELLRIDE), this features some of Zakk Wylde's best metal work. After a few noise effects and a strangely brutal howl, a fairly fast, rumbling riff smashes in with the intensity of a derailed train on "Bleed for Me," one of the most memorable songs in Black Label Society's (and Zakk's) career.
Black Label Society is one of the ultimate metal outfits I have ever heard; they (and by "they," I mean Zakk and whomever else he hires as extra help) can do it all. There are the fast-paced, riff-based juggernauts like "Bleed for Me," "Lords of Destruction," "Demise of Sanity," and "Battering Ram." Songs like "Life, Birth, Blood, Doom," "Graveyard Disciples," "Refuse to Bow Down," and "Berserkers" carry Zakk's signature chugging, lock-step rhythms. Then there's a couple ballads/semi-ballads, including "Bridge to Cross," "Lost Heaven," and the absolutely amazing acoustic instrumental "America the Beautiful," which is to this day my favorite of Zakk's quieter pieces.

Artist : Black Label Society
Country : USA
Release : Alcohol Fueled Brewtality
Year : 2001
Genre : Heavy Metal
File Type : mp3 320

Info:

BLS studio albums are plagued with over-production in the bad sense: too many squealing guitars in the background and "sludgey" tones make a wall of noise that seems to hide the respectable song-writing and downright amazing riffs of Zakk Wylde.
This live album is the exception to that rule. The guitars (and everything else) are recorded flawlessly and the result is energetic and downright breath-taking. His 2nd guitarist is capable of doubling his parts making the solos sound huge and unique for a live recording.
I couldn't stop listening to this one when I first got it. After this, 1919 Eternal showed improvement in his production style... I'm looking forward to the new one.
Highly recommended.

Artist : Black Label Society
Country : USA
Release : Hangover Music Vol. VI [Japan Edition]
Year : 2004
Genre : Heavy Metal
File Type : mp3 320

Info:

With "Hangover Music Vol. 6" Zakk Wylde mixes the acoustic elements from his excellent solo album "Book of Shadows" with the more aggresive rock of the rest of Black Label Society's catalogue. The end result is a very doomy, boozy, southern rock collection of songs that are among the best Zakk's ever written. Nowhere else is the doom/stoner rock feel more prevalent than in the excellent track "House of Doom", a very catchy number with great riffs and some very good vocal work. Now Zakk Wylde is not exactly a standout singer, but he does interpret the songs with a lot of feeling.

Artist : Black Label Society
Country : USA
Release : Mafia [Japan Edition]
Year : 2005
Genre : Heavy Metal
File Type : mp3 320

Info:

Mafia, the seventh album from guitar god Zakk Wylde's band Black Label Society, displays Wylde's distinct brand of aggressive and rowdy metal rock as well as a few soon to be classic power ballads.

Artist : Black Label Society
Country : USA
Release : Shot To Hell [Japan Edition]
Year : 2006
Genre : Heavy Metal
File Type : mp3 320

Info:

This album finally brings together both sides of Zakk Wylde,Book of Shadows/Pride and Glory and The headsplitting music of what we came to know and love as Black Label Society. Concrete Jungle gives this album a brain smashing start, then on to my favorite Black Mass Reverends. The last goodbye is the best ballad since Another Spoke in the Wheel.

Artist : Black Label Society
Country : USA
Release : Stronger Than Death [Japan Edition]
Year : 2000
Genre : Heavy Metal
File Type : mp3 320

Info:

Zakk Wylde is one of the few respectable names left in the pure heavy metal scene. This is no nu-metal crap, the album is full of strong riffs and excellent solos. "All for You" kicks the album off, an adreniline-pumping opener with a fret-burning guitar solo near the end; this song is amazing! "Stronger Than Death" is strong too, with backing vocals at the end by baseball player Mike Piazza. The rest of the songs are gauranteed to please Zakk's fans as well, because many have powerful riffs and all of them have at least one guitar solo. I wish Zakk would convince Ozzy to put out material like this. I feel that Zakk's vocals leave much to be desired (they sound like a mix between Phil Anselmo, Layne Staley, and Scott Stapp), I long for Ozzy's glory days of "No More Tears." Zakk should form a full time band dedicated to playing true heavy metal and kicking rap-metal like Limp Bizkit out of the music scene.

Artist : Black Label Society
Country : USA
Release : The Blessed Hellride [Japan Edition]
Year : 2003
Genre : Heavy Metal
File Type : mp3 320

Info:

The Blessed Hellride carries on the tradition, but in a whole new way. It is by far Zakk's most diverse album as far as styles go. He opens it up with Stoned and Drunk, a classic-style hardcore rock anthem, and by the end puts you out with the slow and creepy Dead Meadow (piano included).
Standout tracks include: Doomsday Jesus, a revisit to 1919 days, as well as Suffering Overdue, which displays Zakk's low-tune tradition. Blackened Waters is a slower, ballad-type song with a killer solo, while the title track is the only acoustic song (still extremely awesome).
In closing, if you want a CD that has ripping, intricate guitar work, get this CD. If you want deep, well-written songs, get it. If you like Skulls, Rotweillers, and Chains...
