Apart from the magical beast close to a dragon probably known to Dungeons And Dragons players, the name 'WYVERN' has been used as band name several times in the Metal realms. One of these is for the Italians here, a band that started in the mid 80s with two demos back then and their debut “The Red Flame Of Pain” being released in 1990 as an independent LP. The album was very difficult to be found so Jolly Roger Records decided to make a re-release in CD format and give a second chance to these recordings.

Wyvern (Italy) - Lords Of Winter (2010)

Artist : Wyvern
Country : Italy
Release : Lords Of Winter
Year : 2010
Genre : Heavy Metal
File Type : mp3 VBR

Info:

Wyvern's history dates back to 1985! After having release two demos, the Italian band released its debut album, 'The Red Flame Of Pain', in 1990; a reasonable heavy speed metal album that hardly got noticed to the rising extremer forms of metal. In the following years the band also didn't come furthers than a couple more demos. In October of last year, twenty years after the release of the debut album, the follow-up 'Lords Of Winter' was a fact after all. Although we can't really speak of a new album – considering the fact that most of the songs are re-recordings of old demo stuff – this definitely is a new start for the Italians. Lords Of Metal spoke to bass player and one of the original members Fausto Tinello about the band's history, 'Lords Of Winter and future plans.
