Band : Angel
Country : USA
Release : In The Beginning
Year : 1999
Genre : Hard Rock
File Info : mp3 320

Info:

As a longtime Angel fan, it was a dream come true to hear that new Angel material was going to be recorded 20 years after their break-up. Granted, its not the full original line-up, with Frank DiMino and Barry Brandt the only original members to participate full time. However, after 20 years, you want to hear something a little different. This CD does not disappoint. The song writing is very good - standouts are Set Me Free, So I'll Say Goodbye, The Rain Song and Hero. Unfortunately, a great CD like this goes un-promoted and will probably not sell many copies ... but true Angel fans will be very pleased.

Band : Angel
Country : USA
Release : On Earth As It Is In Heaven
Year : 1977
Genre : Hard Rock
File Info : mp3 320

Info:

On Earth As It Is In Heaven is the third album by the rock band Angel. This marks the last album with Mickie Jones who was the band's bass player since 1974. It was produced by Eddie Kramer (KISS/Jimi Hendrix) and recorded in an actual castle in the Hollywood Hills. It marked a shift from progressive and symphonic hard rock to a more mainstream hard rock approach, with the exception of "Cast the First Stone" and "Just A Dream" which are very similar in sound to the songs on Angel and Helluva Band. In fact, "Cast The First Stone" was written during the Helluva Band sessions. The band toured non-stop and it was during this time they would make their first and only tour of Japan. The album peaked at #77 on the US Billboard charts.

Band : Angel
Country : USA
Release : An Anthology
Year : 1992
Genre : Hard Rock
File Info : mp3 320

Info:

Anthology songs For a band who materialized on-stage Star Trek-style and did all they could to exploit their heavenly image, it's a wonder Angel didn't break through to a larger number of those rock fantasy-loving fans Kiss monopolized during the latter half of the '70s. Anthology album Angel's problem might have been bad timing: had the band emerged during the spandex-metal heyday of the '80s, they probably would have achieved enormous success with their glossy brand of metal, chaste and androgyny, and salon-issue locks. So, instead of countless comebacks and costume refittings, Angel dematerialize gracefully with this career anthology. Anthology CD music Sampling each of the band's six studio releases, the 20-track collection includes a good chunk from the fan-favorite White Hot album, a balanced mix of rockers and bubblegum pop, and a few over-the-top covers (the Left Bankes' "Walk Away Renee").
