You Won't Get Out Alive was a CD release from the band Waysted. It was released by Zoom Club in 1999.This is a live recording made in Cardiff many years ago. This is strictly for fans and those who like to listen to UFO covers. The band did have three members of UFO in it which explains the inclusion of the covers but they have been done better. The original tapes were obviously not the best and it shows.

Waysted - Wilderness Of Mirrors (2000)

The content of this album, which is basically the Save Your Prayers album from 1987, was copied off some old tape found by Paul Chapman. There is some great guitar solos but not much high-end on this recording. Still its a great album and most likely will never be re-issued by Capitol Records.

A band name never seemed so appropriate...From Pete Way's dissatisfaction with his then and again now day job with UFO sprang the raucous legend that is Waysted. Never did rock 'n roll sound so random, so off-the-rails, so 'don't look now, anything could happen' as it did in the eighties heyday of the beast that was Waysted. Punk may have had the attitude but Waysted had Pete Way and a lot more besides.

Waysted - Vices (1983)

This is one of the great early 80's metal albums that few heard. The album features the excellent gritty work of Ronnie Kayfield on guitar who brings to life songs "Love Loaded", "Night of the Wolf" and "Women in Chains". The album is heavier than the usual UFO fare but retains sufficient melodic backdrops to Fin's (vocalist) screams. This is an epic hybrid album that moved the melodic metal sound pioneered by UFO (then stolen and trashed by Def Leppard) in a gutsier direction. Many Waysted fans prefer the Paul Chapman work (who I acknowledge did some of the best UFO work and had some good chops on the later Waysted albums) but this album is one of those hard to find gems from an era that many only recall for bad hair, parachute pants and awful music. But those early 80's metal pioneers may remember this.
