The fifth and final CD in Americade's complete box set "Americadence"
is their final recording titled "Americade.com". 13 years after their
cult classic "American Metal", they self-produced, self-recorded and
self-released this album that had been in the works since 1989. Brothers
Gerard (guitar) and P.J. De Marigny (lead vocals, keys) are still here,
along with the late great drummer Walt Woodward III (The Scream, Sweet
Savage) and bassist Greg Smith (Alice Cooper, Rainbow, Doro, Red Dawn,
Joe Lynn Turner). Continuing on from their mid and late 80's music
style, they progress into an even more mature AOR / Melodic Rock genre
and there is no denying the awesome musicianship and strength of
songwriting here.

The second CD in the Americade box set titled "Americadence" is the
definitive version of their cult classic "American Metal" which put
these guys on the map and is still raising eyebrows and causing a stir
on the internet. Perhaps one of the most underrated and underappreciated
milestone hard rock records of the early '80s, Americade was on the
cutting edge of the USA's rock and metal movement, just beginning to
really take hold. This recording features the De Marigny brothers with
their mainstay phenom drummer Walt Woodward III and the new addition of
bassist Dave Spitz (brother of Anthrax's Dan Spitz and would later play
with White Lion, Black Sabbath and Impelliteri).

The FIRST DISC included with the Americade's "AMERICADENCE:1980~1995"
box set is titled "First Cuts" -- and features 15 raw tracks of the east
coast cult hard rock / metal band's first recordings -- 11 of them
previously unreleased!! The last 4 tracks come from the mega rare
Americade self titled e.p. from 1980 and feature notable drummer Jerry
Cuccurullo (brother of guitarist Warren) and NY keyboardist
extraordinaire Frank Antico. The rest of the tracks were from 1981 /
early 1982, when Americade recruited Walt Woodward III (drums) and Nicky
Sodano (bass) from the band Rachel (which featured vocalist Rhett
Forrester). Some of these songs were later re-recorded with a different
bassist on their now legendary "American Metal" album.

The fourth addition to Americade's "Americadence" box set is called
"Heroes Are Back" and contains previously unreleased recordings from
sessions during 1984 and 1986. The 1984 sessions were recorded at the
legendary Kaufman Astoria Studio in New York and produced by noted
producer Ben Rizzi. Those songs were intended for a full movie
production called "Electric Prophet" (loosely based on the life of Jimi
Hendrix) which never saw light of day. The 1986 sessions were recorded
at Fred Zarr studios in Brooklyn, NY and features a few tracks with top
session players Fred Zarr on keyboards and Jay Cuccurullo on drums. On
these recordings, you will notice a shift in musical style here, as
Americade moves into more commercial arena-style melodic hard rock / AOR
territory with the use of more keyboards.

"ROCK HARD" is the title of the third CD in Americade's "Americadence"
box set. All of these songs are previously unreleased in any format!
Some excellent material on hand here and its great to finally release
these gems. The first four tracks were quality demos from 1988 that
feature the incredible pipes of vocalist Mark Weitz (also sang with
Yngwie, Ramos, Eyes) -- these 4 amazing songs are worth the price of
admission alone! All other tracks were recorded in 1983 with the classic
lineup of Walt Woodward III (drums), Dave Spitz (bass) and the De
Marigny brothers and produced by renowned producer JEFF GLIXMAN (Saxon,
Yngwie, Black Sabbath, Gary Moore, Kansas++). The track "Black Cloud" is
an awesome cover of the old Glenn Hughes song. Gerard told me a story
that most of his guitar tracks here were recorded through Gary Moore's
guitar rig that was set up in a studio in Atlanta
