Artist : Black Sabbath Country : UK Release : Sabbath Bloody Sabbath [Reissue] Year : 1973 Genre : Heavy Metal File Type : mp3 320 Info:
With its cover image, one would expect to be led into some dark,
abysmal, terrifying journey. Flip to the back cover, and everything is
serene and 'heavenly', yet all the same people are intact and present.
''What's going on here,'' you say? Are these people intrinsically evil
or are they good? Is the hell image truly how things are, and the heaven
is what it's supposed to be like? On the inside cover, which was
gatefold, there was the image of the band (Iommi/Osbourne/Butler/Ward)
guarding a bed, like on the front cover, like spirits, warding off some
bad karma or energy. It was all very weird.
Artist : Mortal Sin Country : Australia Release : An Absence Of Faith Year : 2007 Genre : Heavy Metal File Type : mp3 320 Info:
To any metalhead who appreciates thrash, An Absence of Faith can
wholely by understood and enjoyed, but, much like a fine microbrewed
lager, Mortal Sin is savored much more succinctly when you have listened
to their previous works when a reunion really wasn’t even a glimpse on
the horizon. For me, being an undying thrash fanatic, An Absence of
Faith isn’t the be all end all of modern thrash, but it is quite an
achievement for a band that was once composed of relative youngsters, to
come back as grown men, and compose a brand new set of songs that could
have easily been transplanted from 1987 (which, for a thrash band, is
about as good of a compliment as you can get).

I wish that more veteran vocalists would do the same as Soren Adamsen
of ARTILLERY for a group of local musicians that have been looking for
an answer for the vocal section. The great service he provided to this
young Danish band named SERPENT SAINTS is something that should be
cherished and remembered. Via the French label of Emanes Metal Records,
this Heavy / Speed Metal band released its debut album, "All Things
Metal", with what seemed to me with a purpose to remind the world of the
older flame of Heavy Metal in Denmark while creating a darkened layer
of evil features as the heart of their material. However one thing is
for sure and I am not discoursing the musicianship of the players in
way, but probably without Adamsen's helping hand or vocal chords to that
matter, this effort wouldn't have been that good.
