Artist : The Runaways
Country : USA
Release : Waitin' For The Night
Year : 1977
Genre : Heavy Metal Hard Rock
File Type : mp3 320

Info:

Although by this time The Runaways had lost both Cherie Currie and Jackie Fox, it was by no means fatal as Joan Jett took over the lead vocals. With snarling vocals from Joan and in your face rock guitar from Lita Ford, this was a fantastic album from The Runaways. Tracks like the jaded 'Little Sister' and the catchy 'Wait for Me' proved there was plenty of life in the girls yet!! Critically acclaimed but never receiving their due, The Runaways were formed in Hollywood in 1975, with the help of music svengali / producer Kim Fowley, becoming the first all female rock and roll band to actually make an impression on the record buying public and musicians alike - although more so now than then! Respected in their day by bands such as Blondie and the Ramones, and now cited as a major influence by bands such as Courtney Love, Bikini Kill, L7, the Donnas and Babes in Toyland The Runaways time has finally come!

One of the world's greatest rock 'n' roll bands ever to strut the 50 States, these sharp-dressed Texas titans-Billy F. Gibbons, Frank Beard, and Dusty Hill-are a righteously hell rain' power trio boasting a 30-plus year hit-making legacy, both in the studio and at concert arenas. With their revved up blues 'n' boogie, they always make the most of their Texas birthright with with a distinctive sound that shakes up rock, blues, soul, garage-funk, Americana, and more. Nowhere is their force of nature musicianship better displayed than on these two album classics, revved up wtih red-hot bonus rarities. "You know what I'm talkin' about...an how how how how."

Artist :       Rory Gallagher
Country :     Ireland
Release :     Blueprint [Reissue]
Year :           1973
Genre :       Hard Rock
File Type :   mp3 320

Info:

Rory Gallagher may be the best unknown guitarist of the 70s (apologies to Johhny Winter and Roy Buchannon, but it's true) and THE best slide guitar player after Duane Allman died. And this [along with Tattoo and Irish Tour '74] is another example of Gallagher at his prime.
Leading off with the firey "Walk on Hot Coals" and it's tale of a lowdown gambler, Rory and his... band [Rod D'Arth on drums, Gerry McAvoy on bass and the recently added and incredible Lou Martin on keyboards] grab the listener by the throat and don't let up. "Daughter of the Everglades" the next track is more subdued and pretty, but the band, especially Martin's organ/electric piano fills add to the swirling carnivalesque feel [see"Tattoo'd Lady" on Tattoo]. "Banker's Blues" is Rory on acoustic [probably National steel ala Johnny Winter] and harmonica and Martin on blues piano doing their best Leadbelly. Then it's back to straight ahead rockers for "Hands Off" with more great by Martin again on piano. This and "Race the Breeze" may be the best examples of how adding the keyboards opened Rory and the band up from the restrictions of playing as a trio. "If I had a Reason" is a nice honky tonk feeling waltz with some nice quiet slide, almost approaching the sound of a pedal steel.

Artist : Twisted Tower Dire
Country : USA
Release : The Curse Of Twisted Tower
Year : 1999
Genre : Heavy Metal
File Type : mp3 320

Info:

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Twisted Tower Dire's debut release The Curse of Twisted Tower, Heaven & Hell Records has released a deluxe reissue of The Curse of Twisted Tower, long out of print and notoriously difficult to track down.
To truly appreciate Twisted Tower Dire's debut album, you need to consider the era in which it was originally recorded. It's difficult to imagine now, when fantasy-based traditional/power metal bands are literally a dime a dozen, but there was a time when that kind of music was as underground as it gets. That's what makes Twisted Tower Dire's unlikely beginning such a remarkable story. Unlike their European counterparts (think Blind Guardian, Morgana Lefay, Rhapsody et al), there was no built-in fanbase for traditional/power metal in America. It took real dedication for an American band to embrace the true metal sound in the mid 1990's. Fortunately, the metal warriors in Twisted Tower Dire were up to the challenge.

Country :     UK
Release :     Ready To Rumble [Japan Edition]
Year :           1992
Genre :       Hard Rock
File Type :   mp3 320

Info:

A totally killer album produced by Lea Hart that will leave you speechless. Hard Rock at it’s best with killer and memorable tunes, super catchy choruses, great guitar riffs, sparkling keys, many harmony backing vocals, amazing production and many guest musicians. Maybe many waited for something more heavy cause of the name involved in this record like ex-Fastway vocalist Lea  Hart, former United, Iron Maiden and Lionheart guitarist Dennis Stratton, ex-Streetfighter guitarist Dave Cenzak and ex-Iron Maiden, Trust and Stratus drummer Clive Burr.

Udo Dirkschneider is the man when you talk about throaty vocals and nasty heavy metal songs. The legendary vocalist of Accept blesses us with another masterpiece of metal, while keeping up his understanding of quality metal. In this era of "adulturation", Holy is a masterpiece of heavy metal that offers you raw, but in the meantime intelligent and top notch music.

Artist : Raging Slab
Country : USA
Release : Dynamite Monster Boogie Concert
Year : 1993
Genre : Hard Rock
File Type : mp3 320

Info:

This band should have been basking in the same kind of early kind of 90's alternative glory that catapulted the Seattle bands to national recognition. Even an appearance on "Beavis and Butthead" with one of their stronger songs "Anywhere But Here" could not push them over the top, though the song spoke volumes to the rejection of the materialist culture that underlined the best entries from the Grunge movement.

Artist : Lost Weekend
Country : UK
Release : Evermore
Year : 2013
Genre : Hard Rock
File Type : mp3 320

Info:

LOST WEEKEND has been on and off together for an 18 years period, with a really rocky road like our unscheduled path of life, and some turmoil as a career time line but with always keeping that true British flair in the attitude. The brand new album “Evermore” was finely produced by the omnipotent Guitarist / Composer extraordinaire Martin Kronlund (GYPSY ROSE / ex-WHITE WOLF / ex-DOGFACE) in its own studio in Sweden and it’s without the shadow of a doubt their strongest studio release so far.

Artist : Deep Purple
Country : UK
Release : In Rock [Anniversary Edition]
Year : 1970
Genre : Hard Rock
File Type : mp3 320

Info:

Monolithic, immense and enduring--much like that cover image: the band-members' heads carved into the side of a mountain, a la Mt. Rushmore. Perhaps they felt they'd earned such veneration, having emerged relatively unscathed from the experience of Jon Lord's overblown Concerto For Group And Orchestra. Whatever the rationale, the band regrouped in early 1970--complete with new vocalist Ian Gillan--and set about making one of the decade's undisputed hard-rock classics. For all their undoubted power--and despite the jazzy inflections of Ian Paice's drumming--there's little in the way of groove to these tracks; rather, they're about volume and density, the simple piling-on of dynamics. Clocking in at over ten minutes, "Child In Time" ranks as a classic of its kind, while tracks like "Speed King" and "Into The Fire" see the band at its most unfettered--Richie Blackmore and Lord trading solos with a dazzling sort of ease, and Gillan loosing the full-throated roar for which he soon became renowned.

Artist : Lost Society
Country : Finland
Release : Fast Loud Death
Year : 2013
Genre : Heavy Metal
File Type : mp3 320

Info:

LOST SOCIETY’s debut album Fast Loud Death was crafted under the watchful eye of famous producer Nino Laurenne (AMORPHIS, ENSIFERUM, LORDI) at the prestigious Sonic Pump Studios (FINNTROLL, SONATA ARCTICA, OMNIUM GATHERUM). The fantastic cover artwork was designed by no less than the infamous Ed Repka (MEGADETH, DEATH, SANCTUARY, VENOM). Some of the songs are memorable like “Braindead Metalhead”, the frenetic “Lead Through The Head”, and the title track. However, some songs are just base, and crass like “Piss Out My Ass”. The guitar work is noteworthy, and Samy Elbanna's screams are comprehensible.
