Face to Face is the second album by Australian band The Angels, it was released in 1978.

The domestic (Australian) release was under their own name, however the American version was released in 1980 under the name "Angel City" and included songs from their No Exit album as well as a re-recorded version of "Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again".
The album cover was designed by Peter Ledger and won the King of Pop award for 'Best Album Cover Design' in 1979. In October 2010, Face to Face was listed in the book, 100 Best Australian Albums

In the past, Atrophy struggled to find their own sound, and instead elected to more or less imitate their influences. All that changed with their second effort. Violent by Nature displays a band coming into a sound and style all there own. The band remains talented, playing a slightly technical brand of thrash, however this time around the band sounds more concentrated and mature. The album displays more variation with regards towards guitar solos and riffs, with some melodic guitar intros and solos displayed on songs such as “Too Late to Change and “Process of Elimination”. The band also chose to incorporate more backing vocals into some of the tracks, unlike their debut album. Production is also top notch, as the album has a clean, clear and loud enough sound, and every instrument can be heard clearly.

Debut album for melodic death metal act originally known as Ancestor. Recorded and mixed by Ahti Kortelainen (Sentenced, Nightfall, Impaled Nazarene). Includes members of Eternal Tears Of Sorrow. Century Media has licensed this for the U.S. from Finland's Spinefarm label. Finland's Kalmah brews a decidedly European blend of classically tinged, cinematic death metal on Swamplord. Atmospheric keyboard washes heighten the drama, while adding texture to the quintet's crushing twin-guitar foundation. The opener, "Evil in You," starts things off at a blinding clip, but resolves to a military funeral march fadeout, where the post-Iron Maiden dual-guitar harmonies give way to a mournful pipe organ. The savage vocals should appeal to fans of At the Gates and Emperor; allowing the guitars to carry the songs' melodic content, the "singing" is a rabid howl of death metal aggression -- white noise converted into vowel sounds. Kalmah also use tempo variations effectively; while many of the songs race along like machine-gun fire, "Dance of the Water" chugs with an effective mid-tempo simplicity.

With longtime guitarist Zakk Wylde providing plenty of brutal, soul-searing riffs and solos, there's no shortage of reasons to throw the horns, raise your fist, and yell. The rhythm section of Mike Bordin (drums) and Rob "Blasko" Nicholson (drums) is simply the best since Randy Castillo and Phil Soussan joined up for 1986's The Ultimate Sin and fires most accurately on the title cut, "Lay Your World On Me" and "Countdown's Begun." There's no "Crazy Train" or "Mama I'm Coming Home" here but Black Rain is a more convincing statement for it. I have included in the archive the following bonus tracks: Nightmare, I Can't Save You, Love To Hate plus 3 live versions which are included in the bonus disc.

Steffanie is the daughter of Hawaiian jazz singer Jimmy Borges and the Japanese Shizuko Yagi and she went to live in Honolulu, Hawaii soon after her birth. She began her working career in Japan as a model for advertising and TV campaigns. Borges started her singing career recording two singles in between 1977 and 1978 and an album of pop songs in 1978. In 1982, with the name Stevany she sang the theme for the soundtrack of the anime movie Andromeda Stories. During the 80s, she changed her image and musical style, switching over to hard rock and melodic heavy metal and producing two new solo albums recorded in Japan, which were released by Warner Japan. While the musicians that recorded the studio albums were all Japanese, the band accompanying her in various Japanese TV shows was composed by American performers, including her cousins Tony and David Borges and her future husband Randy Juergenson. In this period, she also worked on songs for the anime series Urusei Yatsura and for the movie Urusei Yatsura: Remember My Love.

This is one of my all time favourite albums. With the exception of "Believe In Me" (way too poppy), this is some of the best AOR i've ever heard. I also love the way that the album isn't full of vocals; there is also a lot of jamming on here, especially on "Run For Your Love". The title track is simply awesome: memorable riff, great soloing and Steffanie's voice was never better...It never fails to fire me up. Throw in "Get Out Of My Heart", "Change Of Heart" and "Hot Night In The City" and you have one of the most underrated albums you'll ever likely hear.

Metal Attack (Planet Records) was a really strong debut from Sweden’s Overdrive. The guitar duo of Janne Stark and Kjell Jacobsson put on a hell of show. You couldn’t ask for anything more from a pair of guitarists on a traditional metal album. They were creative, skilled, and crafty. The melodic metal packed into the ten cuts on Metal Attack provide plenty of rich textures and tasty playing. Drummer Kenth Ericsson also did a great job on the skins. Vocalist Pelle Thuresson sounded young and (overly) enthusiastic.
