Following two eighties solo albums STYX guitarist JAMES YOUNG founded the JAMES YOUNG GROUP for the 1995 'Raised By Wolves' opus. The record featured several compositions from the ENUFF Z'NUFF writing team of Chips Enuff and Donnie Vie. Young returned the favour by gracing a number of tracks on ENUFF Z'NUFF's 'Paraphernalia' album.

For 'Raised By Wolves' Young assembled a band comprising vocalist / guitarist Michael Baran, previously a member of the Trent Reznor led THE URGE, bassist Hank Horton, a touring member of STYX man DENNIS DE YOUNG's solo band, PRIDE OF LIONS and VICIOUS GROOVE keyboard player Lou DePasqua and BADFINGER, OFF BROADWAY, TAMI SHOW and WILD BLUE drummer Ken Harck. STYX colleague GLEN BURTNICK also aided in the studio.
