"Winner/Loser" was hardly weaker than the god-like debut, but one had a little bit to forfeit in case of the sound. There is a little bit less pressure but with the corresponding volume it gets ok. The songs are all hymns, immortal and just terrific! "Shadow Of A Promise" with its charming children choir, conjures me still with a goose bump on my back. Or what is about the title track? "Winner/Loser" is a perfect, hymnic song of the gods with an absolutely great chorus, which has milled into my brain. Or just take "Face To Face", "Eyes Of The Young" and "Small Price To Pay" and...you see, one killer after another one!
