Jetboy is a San Francisco hard rock band formed in 1983. The band transplanted themselves to LA In 1986 after signing a major deal with Elektra Records. Their musical influences ranged from Punk rock to Rock n' roll with a good dose of Blues thrown in. Their 1988 debut album Feel the Shake peaked at 135 on The Billboard 200.

In 1987, bassist Todd Crew died due to a drug overdose in the Hotel room of Guns N Roses guitarist Slash. Coincidentally, Hanoi Rocks had recently parted ways after the death of their drummer Razzle, which allowed Sami Yaffa to fill the bass guitarist position. Yaffa, a member of one of the groups Jetboy had found most influential, was now a member of the band. Jetboy continued on into the 1990s before calling it a day. However, over a decade later, Jetboy reconvened, toured and recorded a new EP 'Off Your Rocker'.

Swedish foursome Angel King consider themselves a glam/sleaze outfit (or at least the person who composed their press info does) but after the first listening session I could only come to the conclusion that they are for the most part sailing different musical waters. The chosen path is namely that of melodic hard rock with a dash of sleaze.
With 10 songs clocking in at around 39 minutes the album is in my opinion neither too short or too long and while none of the tunes on offer have the ability to edge themselves in the listener's brain upon the first meeting, tracks like the Europe flavoured “Living The Wild Life” or the bouncing title track (that combines elements of Kiss and Nasty Idols) do get your feet tapping.

This album was a demo only; never released. The demo existed only on cassette, not on CD.
It features Dean (Vocals), Jimmy Marchiano (Guitars/Vocals), Jeff Cease (Guitars), Walter Williams (Bass/Vocals), and Joey Marchiano (Drums). The line-up continues the PA music scene theme, with Jimmy having played in Angora with John Corabi (Scream/Motley Crue/Union/ESP/Ratt). Angora also included drummer Robert Iezzi whose younger brother Marc was also a member of a post-"Electric Rattlebone" line-up of Blackeyed Susan. Jeff Cease was originally guitarist in the Black Crowes. This album has a similar, but less produced feel than the debut album.

Dean "Dizzy" Davidson is an American singer, guitarist, and drummer from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was a founding member of the glam metal band Britny Fox. He's currently[when?] starting a solo career with the album Drive My Karma, folk rock style. In 2010, he has rejoined Britny Fox, according to posting on his facebook page

Too bad they weren't that huge. Smart musicianship from the entire band. I love the way Richard Black moves. He FEELS his songs and I can see why. Catchy tunes and beautiful ballads. Blackboard Jungle were one of the more diverse hard rock bands from the strip with a style of their very own. To me, they drew similarities with Australia's very own Candy Harlots and even early Vain. Singer, Kenny Price has a unique and very distinctive voice along the same lines as Davy Vain.

Blackboard Jungle is a name I had heard several times before, but seeing as their material was hard to find I never got a chance to give them a good listen. All that has changed though, with Welcome To The Blackboard Jungle giving people like me a chance to hear this Sunset Strip cult band. Blackboard Jungle, by many accounts, was the last of the 80s bands to be able to draw a crowd on the Strip during the days when grunge caused a hair metal revolt across America. This latest release from Suncity Records shows how Blackboard Jungle was able to keep relevant in a musical climate that had turned its back on their type of sound.
This collection of unreleased songs span the bands career from their early 1990 recordings with Faster Pussycat's Brent Muscat all the way to their last gasp in 1995. Seeing as the band managed to retain a solid following deep into the grunge era, I wasn't sure what to expect from them. But this isn't that far removed from sleaze legends like Faster Pussycat and Vain, and to a lesser extent Kik Tracee. One thing that sets them apart is the feeling that there is something dark and sinister lurking deep inside each of these songs. Blackboard Jungle's compositions are much more sophisticated than your typical party rock anthems that drove the Sunset Strip sound.

Proudly present a compilation of Ratt's demos and rarities.Ratt is an American heavy metal band that had significant commercial success in the 1980s. The band is best known for songs such as "Round and Round," "Wanted Man," "Lay It Down," "You're in Love", "Slip of the Lip", "Back For More", "Dance", "Body Talk", "I Want a Woman", and "Way Cool Jr.
The origins of Ratt go at least as far back as 1976 with a San Diego band called Mickey Ratt, which was formed by founding member vocalist Stephen Pearcy. Several CDs have been released of the Mickey Ratt line-ups, including several demo compilations and a live concert.

Aerosmith, just like any other band, have tracks left from their recording sessions, often referred to as outtakes. Little was known about them until the 1990s as lyrics, information and songs started leaking on to the internet. Additionally, some outtakes were released as B-sides on singles, as bonus tracks on international pressings of albums, as well as on compilations, live albums and box sets that the band has released throughout their career.
Only few bootlegs exist with complete demos or sessions. From 1982, there is a bootleg called "Pure Gold .999" with some "Rock In A Hard Place" demos. Three other bootlegs exist with demos and outtakes from the 1987 Permanent Vacation album: "Permanent Outtakes" (28 tracks), "Love Me Like a BirdDog" (with some Rick Rubin demos) and the "March 1, 1987 session" where the tape recorded 58 minutes of the band rehearsing a few songs. Pump does not have a full bootleg of outtakes; about 5 songs (mostly instrumentals) escaped in mid-1990s and have been included on several rare songs bootleg compilations
