Artist : Fancyfluid
Country : Italy
Release : Weak Waving
Year : 1990
Genre : Heavy Metal
File Type : mp3 320

Info:

FANCYFLUID is an Italian Progressive rock band, that created a subtle mix between the Seventies local scene (BANCO DEL MUTUO SOCCORSO or PREMIATA FORNERIA MARCONI) and Eighties' neo Progressive music. ""Weak Waving"" (1989) is an excellent album, in the same vein as early MARILLION, with more diverse sounds and instruments (Cello, flute, saxophone...), and the charming voice of Fabrizio GORIA. ""King's Journey"" (1992) offers contributions by Rodolfo MALTESE (BANCO DEL MUTUO SOCCORSO) and Pietro RATTO (ATON'S). It's a splendid concept-album, explained in the booklet along with texts from all songs. ""The Sheltering Sea"" (1994) shows a deeper instrumental mastery, and offers a more complex and sophisticated music, mixing symphonism and orchestral subtlety. Not to be missed !

Info:

There are some interesting symphonic breaks through, with an interesting flow of melodies and a pretty instrumental interplay between the keyboards and the guitar (Arcansiel-like or in the vein of bands such as Nuova Era, Galadriel and so on)...this work is better than the insipid 1st album,by means of conceptual pieces, sometimes influenced by early Marillion. The vocals have improved a lot, in comparison to their debut.
