Artist : Wolf
Country : Sweden
Release : Legions Of Bastards [Limited Edition]
Year : 2011
Genre : Heavy Metal Hard Rock
File Type : mp3 320

Info:

Swedish traditional metal standard-bearers Wolf are back with another studio album. Legions of Bastards is the band's sixth release, and it's just as fierce as the previous five Wolf albums. Wolf was one of the first bands in the so-called New Wave of Traditional Metal movement, and with every new album they remind us why they're also one of the best.
If you've heard any of Wolf's previous albums, you pretty much know what to expect from Legions of Bastards. It's the kind of heavy, melodic traditional metal that worships at the feet of bands like Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, with wicked riffing, headbanging rhythms, snarling vocals and dark lyrical themes. You know, essentially everything that made metal so awesome in the `80s, but with modern energy and production, and that Swedish melodic approach. Highlights include "Skull Crusher," "Jeckyll and Hyde" and "Tales From the Crypt," but the whole album rocks hard.

Info:

Wolf is a Heavy Metal band hailing from Sweden. Normally, I couldn’t care less about a Heavy Metal revival band, but the unique art of their eponymous debut album grabbed my attention. Fortunately, after listening to it a couple of times, it turned out to be a decent record. Even though I was expecting something entirely different, In the Shadow of Steel was a delightful surprise. My personal favourite track and only 100 seconds in length, the song revolves around the same riff throughout. The song is probably the most powerful and "raw" of the entire album, it thrashes hard and true.
