Country : USA
Release : The Final Cuts
Year : 2002
Genre : Hard Rock
File Type : mp3 320

Info:

Cover album released by the American hard rock band Great White in 2002. All of the tracks are covers of songs that the band gained the most influence from. The album was recorded live in studio in November 1989 as a two-track demo. The collection of covers of this album include songs already appeared in other Great White albums, such as the medley "Bitches and Other Women" on ...Twice Shy, "Down at the Doctors" on Hooked and "Ain't No Way to Treat a Lady" on Let It Rock. The covers of "Ready for Love" and "Fire and Water" are notable, as both were made famous by bands with Paul Rodgers as the lead singer. The former song was originally recorded by Mott the Hoople, whose guitarist Mick Ralphs was later in Bad Company and whose lead singer Ian Hunter originally performed "Once Bitten, Twice Shy", a major hit for Great White in 1989. The Dr. Feelgood song "Down at the Doctors" is misspelled in the credits as "Down to the Doctor".

Info:

Great White is the first full-length album by the American rock band Great White. Three tracks are taken from the band's previous EP, albeit in re-recorded versions. The musical style of this album is very different from the following highly successful releases of Great White, as they display here a more hard-driving metal sound as opposed to their later, blues-infused rock sound. EMI America judged the album a disaster and Great White were dropped. This led to a rethink by the band, and they became less heavy, introducing a tame hard rock sound for later albums

Artist : Great White

Release : Hooked
Year : 1991
Genre : Hard Rock
File Type : mp3 320

Info:

Hooked is the fifth full length studio album the American hard rock band Great White, released in 1991. Though lacking a recognizable hit single and not commercially as successful as ...Twice Shy, it still managed to peak at No. 18 on the Billboard 200 album chart and it was critically well received. The album was certified Gold in April 1991. The original album cover art was photographed by famous fashion photographer John Scarpati and featured a nude female model being hoisted out of the sea by a large hook. This cover was judged too risque by the label and replaced by art director Hugh Syme shortly after the initial pressing with an alternative cover that had the hook still below the sea level and the model partially submerged, so that only her head and arms were visible.

This is the band's first and only recording with bassist Teddy Cook, as well as their first release for Zoo Entertainment. The original issue came with a bonus CD entitled Anaheim Live.

Something Smells Fishy, bootleg. Contains all those rare tracks that it would cost you a fortune to collect, if indeed you could collect them at all.

From "Slow Ride" through to the tracks from "The Blue EP", all the way to "Burnin' House Of Love" (the bonus track on the Japanese "Let It Rock"), this one has them all. It also includes the tracks from AC/DC and Rush tributes and some dodgy stuff Jack did in 1985. This is a superb album, let down only by the fact that it's now outdated - the bonus track on the Japanese version of "Can't Get There From Here" assures that...

Recovery: Live! is a live album released by the American hard rock band Great White in 1988. Several versions of the album were released, with variations in both covers and track listings. The US version feature 5 cover songs recorded direct-to-2-track in 1986, as well as 5 live songs from 1983. The CD release added the songs from the EP On Your Knees (re-issue of the original Out of the Night EP) as a bonus. The European release replaces tracks 6-10 with 5 songs from a 1987 Marquee show (the same show as disc two of the ...Twice Shy limited edition). The Japanese version is a strange hybrid of the two versions, and also includes a song from Live at the Ritz and various studio tracks.
