Soundwise "Cruel Intention" is a departure from Nasty Idols debut album, "Giggolo's On Parole". Gone is the aor/pop sound and feel, and replacing it is the hair-metal sounds of the late 80's/early 90's(which I personally much prefer). The album is a premier slice of sleaze-rock nirvana, and really should have vaulted these guys into the mainstream music lights. Sadly that didn't happen, and within several short months, grunge murdered everything related to Hollywood sounds and images.
