Things gained momentum again some years ago, when Gary Pihl and Robert Berry started to exchange ideas for new songs by means of MP-3 files that they sent to each other through e-mail. What came out of these writing sessions sounded a lot fresher than the material that was written immediately after the release of “Missing Piece” and so the light turned to green for the writing and recording of a third Alliance album.
The guys couldn’t have chosen a better title for their third studio album as the 13 songs on offer easily bring the listener on the road to (AOR) heaven. Since I got my review copy, I have enjoyed the heavenly voice of Robert Berry as well as the sparkling keyboards of Fitz and the fantastic axework of Gary Pihl over and over again.
