In the 1980s STEEL FURY was regarded as a 3-piece version of Metallica. Their style was that of Metallica's "Ride The Lightning" era. The band quickly gained a reputation by doing shows in Southern California during the same time period as when Metallica and Slayer were playing small clubs.
